NFL 2009 Football Season Predictions – NFC
There has been a huge amount of interest regarding the NFL 2009 Football Season – NFC and all that interest has given rise to a lot of speculation and the 2009 NFL Football NFC predictions are flying in thick and fast. Here we provide you with free NFL predictions for each of the teams in the NFC 2009.
Arizona Cardinals
The Cardinals have been able to retain all their major players who had played in last season’s Super Bowl and that means they have the quality. What is against them is the trend that the losers of the previous year’s Super Bowl often fail to leave a mark in the next season.
Atlanta Falcons
A lot of Falcon’s success last year can be credited to the rookie QB Jake Delhomme. Most teams didn’t know him and he caught a lot of them off guard. This year the teams already know his worth and will keep an eye on him. Hence much will depend on how he develops his skills and strategies.
Carolina Panthers
They have been able to extend the contracts of their two biggest players – QB Jake Delhomme and DE Julius Peppers – and that gives them a good shot at winning the NFC South division.
Chicago Bears
The Bears have a very good chance in their division but not many would count them as a real contender to win the playoffs. Jay Cutler has been a good signing this season and only time will tell if he is able to take the team to the next level.
Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys seem to be dead and buried even before the start of the season. With no change of note to the team, they seem destined to another indifferent season.
Detroit Lions
Lions are also not expected to do any great things and they are not helped by the schedule that has seven difficult games on the trot at the start of the season.
Green Bay Packers
The Packers are led by QB Aaron Rodgers. He will have to play an inspirational role and try and instill the habit of winning consistently.
Minnesota Vikings
The Vikings are yet to find a suitable replacement for Brett Favre and will be asking a lot from the old warhorse one more time this season.
New Orleans Saints
The Saints have a good chance of progressing through the South division and it seems that things will go down to the fire to pick the winner in this division.
New York Giants
A lot will depend on the Giants results against Dallas and Philadelphia, both home and away.
Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles can go all the way but for that they need to make a god stat n their own division. To be able to win the big thing, they need to build up momentum and scraping through to the playoff wouldn’t help.
San Francisco 49ers
The 49ers have a great leader in Mike Singletary who is able to motivate the entire team and get the best out of them. But the team is a little short on talent when it comes to winning the Super Bowl. However they should do well in their division.
Seattle Seahawks
Seattle are going to be the main challengers for the 49ers in the battle for the Western division. They have Matt Hasslebeck back which is a huge confidence booster for the entire team.
St. Louis Rams
Most experts are not looking at the Rams for anything great. They are expected to finish at the bottom of their division and they will find it difficult to even win a few games.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Buccaneers are looking at this year as a part of their transition phase. With quite a few untested players in key positions and an entire new coaching staff, this is the year that the Bucs will build for the future seasons.
Washington Redskins
The Redskins quarterback Jason Campbell has shown flashes of talent but has failed to live up to the expectations and it seems the Redskins might have to look elsewhere to seriously compete for the championships.
