With the 2012 NFC Championship coming very soon, this is a great time to look at the future odds of several NFL team favorites. Several teams are among the top bettors currently including the Green Bay Packers. Several other teams are well worth looking into including the Dallas Cowboys, New Orleans Saints and San Francisco.
Dallas Cowboys +900: The Dallas Cowboys, a popular favorite, hold the record in consecutive winning seasons. The team has held one of the longest streaks of winning in the world of professional sports and seems unchallenged in this arena.
Phil Costa of the Dallas Cowboys will be playing the offense this season for his second year. Andre Gurode is returning to practice after being off with a knee injury for two straight weeks. Costa is quick and in line for the star role. He is making an outstanding start for this year, after making it in as an undrafted free agent from the state of Maryland.
Green Bay Packers +250: Green Bay Packers have won 13 league championships along with four super bowls. Consider the potential for the team to win the championship in this year’s competition. During the team’s preseason opener, Tim Masthay brought an average of 52 yards from five punts for the evening.
Ryan Grant is coming back after last year’s ankle injury with full force. Grant has been a great runner for the team and is back full time for the team. Training camp sessions have not shown any physical issues and mentally Grant is bringing his focus back to the game.
New Orleans Saints +550: In 2009, the New Orleans Saints entered the Super Bowl for the first time. This brought increased morale to the team following the disruption that occurred with Hurricane Katrina devastating their land.
Jabari Greer will continue with the team this year after an impressive ending to last season. Greer ranked second on the team last year in pass breakups and recorded 53 tackles for the season. His career high for tackles lies at 72. Greer has been patient to prove his skills in years past and now makes his point.
San Francisco +2000: San Francisco is one to remember even though they have had their fair share of challenges. Unfortunately, the team lost their first preseason game of the year. The team had challenges throughout the game and will need to step it up to remain in the standings. David Akers did show promise by making a 59 yard field goal, a new career high.
Frank Gore also returned to play in the first preseason game of the year after receiving a hip fracture during last season. Gore is coming back well rejuvenated and full of focus. He played the first three series of the game followed by his relief, Anthony Dixon. |
