Category: College Sports, NCAA Football

NEW YORK, Jan 21st 2011 – The recently concluded BCS Championship saw the Auburn Tigers being crowned as the new BCS Champion. It has already led to the excitement on whether they will be able to keep their crown with themselves in the future or else someone is going to dethrone them in the 2012 BCS Championship.

However, too early it may sound it is really worth the excitement. Following information about the key teams will surely help you with regards to betting:

•    Auburn Tigers:
After winning the 2011 BCS championship the defending champions are really the favorites in winning the 2012 BCS championship. However, there is a bit apprehension as the tigers are going to lose some of their valuable pieces who had led them to victory this year. However, if their master performer piece, QB Cameron makes a comeback then the next season is really going to be a great one for the Tigers.

•    Oregon Ducks:
The Ducks really have a different story altogether. They are in fact going to be in great form next year, thanks to their quack attack which appears to be in high shape next year. This is mostly because all of its important cogs are going to come back with a bang.

•    Stanford Cardinal:
It is in fact tough to say that the Cardinals are going to win the next BCS Championship. This is mainly because the Cardinals are without a coach. However, there is still a gleam of hope as its pieces are going return and then it is really going to be a safe walk for the Cardinals. However, it would not come as a surprise if the Cardinals emerge as the champions in the BCS Championship 2012.

•    Boise State Broncos:
The latest buzz for Broncos in 2012 is both of their key players are going to be back. They are really going to show their mettle in the Mountain West when the going really is to get tough adding a distinct touch to the BCS.

•    Alabama Crimson Tide:
This team was lost in this year’s BCS championship and is also going to lose some of its key pieces. However, with a great recruiting class, fantastic defense and a favorable schedule is really going to work in the favor of Crimsons’. A game at the Mississippi state bulldogs and at the Florida Gators are the only obstacles which might be blocking their way towards an undefeatable streak in the season. The largest most successful sportsbook on the web, BetUS.com posted odds on 2011-2012 Season’s Bowl Championship Series Champion.

Miami of Florida vs. Florida State college betting preview

Category: NCAA Football, Sportsbook Promotions

Monday, 8:00 pm Eastern – ESPN
College Football Betting Preview
Miami of Florida at Florida State

The first week of the college football season concludes on Monday night as Florida State hosts Miami of Florida in a game that can be seen on ESPN. This has the potential to be a good one as Florida State is one of the favorites in the ACC while Miami is a serious contender.

Florida State is a 6-point favorite with a total of 47 at SBG Global.

This is a huge year for Miami head coach Randy Shannon. He has yet to show his Miami team can play in the big games and time is running out. The Hurricanes are 30-23 all-time in the series against Florida State but the Seminoles hold the 3-2 edge since Miami joined the ACC. Last year was a scoring fest as FSU won 41-39.

Miami will be led this season by Jacory Harris. He started two games last year and a lot is expected of him this season. He sure will get tested early as the Hurricanes have the Seminoles on Monday, host Georgia Tech, travel to Virginia Tech and then host Oklahoma. The Hurricanes have lost 11 of their last 13 games to ranked teams. “I like (the schedule),” said sophomore quarterback “I can’t wait, actually.” Harris gets to hand the ball to Graig Cooper and Javarris James. He also has talented receivers in Aldarius Johnson, Thearon Collier, Travis Benjamin and LaRon Byrd. The Miami defense returns eight starters and should be improved this season.

Florida State returns quarterback Christian Ponder who should be improved after throwing 14 TDs and 13 interceptions last season. The running game should be led by sophomore Jermaine Thomas who averaged 7 yards per carry in limited action last season. Only five starters return on defense but the secondary is solid with safeties Jamie Robinson and Korey Magnum.

Here is a look at the college football betting stats for Monday’s game. The Hurricanes are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games as an underdog. The Hurricanes are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 road games. The Hurricanes are 7-18-1 ATS in their last 26 conference games. The Underdog is 7-0 ATS in the last 7 meetings between the two teams.

The Seminoles are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games as a home favorite. The Seminoles are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 meetings at home against Miami.

The under is 4-1 in the Hurricanes last 5 games as an underdog. The Over is 5-1 in the Seminoles last 6 home games. The under is 6-2 in the last 8 meetings between the two teams.
