NEW YORK, NY - NEW YORK, NY – The PGA season is ready to get into “full swing” with all due respect to early month tournaments and fans across the country seem to be ready for the big dogs to rip – whether that means with or without Tiger Woods.

Betting on the 2010 Olympics:
Many countries had battled for the hosting of the upcoming 2010 Olympics. But the Association of Canadian Olympics selects the Vancouver as the Canadian applicant place for the 2010 Olympics instead of the city of Calgary. Previously Association of Canadian Olympics selected the city of Quebec as the Canadian applicant place for the 2002 Olympics. But unfortunately they had lost the bid in the year of 1995. First round for the voting of the 2010 Olympics was arranged in 21 November 1998. In this round, Vancouver succeeded to get 26 numbers of votes, Quebec succeeded to get 25 numbers of votes and Calgary succeeded to get 21 numbers of votes. Second and last round for the voting of the 2010 Olympics was arranged in 3 December 1998. In this round there was a very tough betting competition between the city of Vancouver and the city of Quebec. In this round, Vancouver succeeded to get 40 numbers of votes and Quebec succeeded to get 32 numbers of votes. So in this way, Vancouver succeeded to win the bid of the hosting city candidate from Canada for the Upcoming 2010 Olympics. After winning this bid, Vancouver ambled to enter in the international bidding competition for the hosting of the 2010 Olympics.

Scandal in 2002 Olympics:
For the 2002 Olympics, it was cleared that city of Quebec will win the bid of being the host city for the Olympics. But suddenly there occurred a bid inducement scandal that allows the city of Salt-Lake to win the bid of the host city for the 2002 Olympics. Suddenly some rules were changed in the bidding process and city of Salt-Lake won the bid instead of Quebec who was clearly won the bid. After that city of Quebec asked for reimbursement of about eight million dollars. After that bidding rules were again changed and a separate commission was created for the purpose of visiting the candidate cities and decided the best one after observing the all resources and conditions.

International Betting For 2010 Olympics:
This commission first chooses the three cities as candidates for the hosting of upcoming 2010 Olympics in the 2003. In the same year, this commission visited the candidates’ cities for choosing the best one among three. After visited all the three cities, this international commission for the Olympics decided to select the city of Vancouver as a host city for the Olympics of 2010. The final decision was made at 2 July, 2003 mentioned by the president of IOC “Jacques Rogge”. The other three competitors of Vancouver were PyeongChang that is the city of South Korea and Salzburg that is the city of Austria. But the winner was the city of Canada named as Vancouver City. VANOC (The Vancouver Olympic Committee) had spent an amount of 16.6$ for improving the conveniences or facilities of the place of Cypress Mountain. Cypress Mountain had also hosted the events and sports of aerials, moguls and ski cross. It had also hosted the events and sports of snowboarding competitions in the past.

The United States betting industry is all geared up and buzzing with activity for the upcoming Super Bowl match next Sunday. New Orleans Saints vs. Indianapolis Colts- two sides with the most efficient Quarterbacks in the entire league- are about to encounter in what is supposed to be the greatest Super Bowl contest ever.

Both Indianapolis Colts and New Orleans Saints will be looking to get the better of the other when they face each other on February 7, 2010. Both the sides have an intimidating offense and an average defense.

New Orleans Saints stormed into the Super Bowl after ending their NFC season with an impressive 13-3 win-loss record. This will be their first Super Bowl appearance in their 43-year history as an NFL team.

In the NFC championship game, Colts had a close encounter against Minnesota Vikings with a close margin of 31-28. This combined score surpassed the posted over/under of 54 at online sportsbook. For the New Orleans Saints to win, they will need to take advantage of the mediocre defense of the Colts.

With Drew Brees, Heisman Trophy, Marques Colston and Reggie Bush, New Orleans has a formidable lineup. Drew Brees WAS NFL’s best quarterback (109.6). Brees threw for 4,338 yards and had 34 touchdowns. His impressive show with just 11 interceptions earned him 70.6% passer rating.

As for Indiana Colts, this will be their second Super Bowl appearance in just four years. In their run up to the Super Bowl, Indianapolis finished the season with an NFL best 14-2 win-loss record. The US gambling punters are also expecting Peyton Manning, the fiery quarterback of Indiana Colts, to put up another mighty performance.

He threw for 4,500 yards and 33 touchdowns during the entire NFL season. His stupendous record with just 16 interceptions garnered him a 99.9 passer rating and his fourth National Football League Most Valuable Most Valuable Player Award.

Backing heavily on Peyton Manning’s leadership, Indianapolis Colts cruised easily through the playoff stages and is now appearing mightier than ever. However, if Indiana Colts wish to win the Super Bowl, they will need to improve their defense to stop the mighty Saints’ offense.

USA gambling industry is super-excited about this most awaited Super Bowl contest. The US sports betting industry is favoring Indianapolis Colts to win the Super Bowl; however, the New Orleans Saints, trailing by just 4 points, may emerge as winners in their very first appearance.

You can bet on Super Bowl through any of the reputed online sportsbook. As per the Super Bowl oddmakers, the total (over/under) on the Super Bowl 44 is as high as 56 points. However, with both teams boasting of torrid offense, 56 can be easily attainable.

Georgetown at Syracuse
Monday, 7:00 pm Eastern – ESPN

Syracuse will try and continue their home dominance over Georgetown as the two teams meet in Big Monday action on ESPN. The Orange have won 10 of the last 11 at home against the Hoyas and are favored to do so again in this game.

Syracuse is a 6 point favorite at SBG Global with a total of 146.5.

Syracuse has won seven straight overall and have just one loss this season. They are coming off a win on Saturday against Marquette when they had their biggest crowd of the season at the Carrier Dome. The last time they met Georgetown almost a year ago, more than 31,000 fans showed up. “We have great fans here in Syracuse,” forward Kris Joseph said. “Our fans are die-hard fans and I think them being here and being so loud helps us a lot. I think it scares a lot of teams.” Syracuse beat Marquette as Wesley Johnson had 22 points and 15 rebounds while Joseph added 14 points and 11 rebounds. “That just shows how good of a basketball team we are,” Joseph said. “Andy being shut down today was a great thing to see, because now we know what everyone else is capable of.”

Georgetown comes into this game playing very well. They upset Pittsburgh last Wednesday and followed that win by routing Rutgers on Saturday. Greg Monroe has averaged 21 points and 13.7 rebounds in his last three games. “We were focused for the most part,” head coach John Thompson said. “They came out with a cohesiveness and an energy which was a good for us. That’s something we’ve stressed that we want to maintain.” The Hoyas have Monroe who can impact the game inside and Chris Wright who can score from the outside. Wright had 27 points in last week’s win over Pittsburgh.

Georgetown and Syracuse split their two meetings last season. The Hoyas are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 road games. The Hoyas are 7-19 ATS in their last 26 vs. the Big East. The Hoyas are 1-5 ATS in the last 6 meetings at Syracuse.

The Orange are 12-3 ATS in their last 15 vs. the Big East. The Orange are 12-4 ATS in their last 16 home games.

Thursday, 8:05 pm Eastern – TNT
Los Angeles Lakers at Cleveland Cavaliers

The two top NBA teams meet in a high profile TNT televised game on Thursday as the Cleveland Cavaliers, who are 32-11 host the Los Angeles Lakers, who are 32-9. This is a key game for both teams since the team that finishes with the best overall record would have home court advantage if the teams meet in the NBA Finals. The Cavaliers already defeated the Lakers earlier this season so a win on Thursday would give them the tiebreaker if the teams finish with the same record.

The Lakers begin a very challenging eight-game road trip on Thursday. They will be playing eight games in 13 days beginning with this matchup in Cleveland. There are three sets of back-to-backs and two big games, against Cleveland and Boston. The Lakers have played the fewest amount of road games in the league but that is about to change. “I think it’ll tell us where we’re at,” said Lakers forward Ron Artest, “We feel like we can come out perfect. I don’t think anybody will doubt us even though we haven’t been out on the road yet.”

The game on Thursday is very important to the Lakers since they were routed 102-87 at home by the Cavaliers on Christmas Day. “Obviously, we didn’t like that at all,” forward Pau Gasol said. “We want to show them that we’re the better team. They have confidence now that they can beat us.”

The Lakers have the best NBA record in the league but they still haven’t played their best basketball. “We play well for a half, the next night we play well for 20 minutes.” Head coach Phil Jackson said, “We haven’t really strung together 3 1/2 quarters or whatever.”

The Lakers are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 Thursday games. The Lakers are 3-1-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The Lakers are 3-1-1 ATS in their last 5 vs. the Eastern Conference. The Lakers are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 road games. The Lakers are 2-5 ATS in the last 7 meetings against Cleveland.

The Cavaliers are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 home games. The Cavaliers are 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 vs. the Western Conference.
